Don't miss a great family day out!

Plans for this year's Wigtown Show are well underway.  Livestock Premium Lists & Poultry Schedules have been posted to all exhibitors on our database and we hope to attract a good number and high quality of stock, which Wigtown Show is renowned for.  These documents are available to download from the "livestock exhibitor" page of the website.

A new attraction for this year is a Scarecrow Competition.  This is a fun event for families to enter. Design and make a scarecrow at home then bring it to be judged at Wigtown Show.  See the "livestock exhibitor" page of this website for more details.

It's shaping up to be a very busy showfield again this year.  The Craft & Lifestyle and Food Marquees are already booked to capacity and outdoor trade exhibitors are many and varied - with the majority of last year's exhibitors coming back and a good number of new ones too.

Wigtown Show always provides a wide range of entertainment and this year is no exception. Check out the entertainment page to get a taste of some of what's in store.  Plan your day as there's so much to do: come in the morning to watch the livestock judging, look at the Poultry Show, have a snack from the catering foodcourt, enjoy the Grand Parade of Livestock lead by Kirkcudbright pipers, browse the marquees and trade stands, visit the funfair, be entertained by the afternoon main-ring activites. There really will be something for everyone at Wigtown Show.

Whether you're a local or visitor, farmer or city dweller, a warm welcome awaits you at Wigtown Show so mark the date in your diary - Wednesday 1st August - and come and enjoy a great day out.
